Trim Levels (Exterior)
Before you select your preferred trim for the 2019 Ram 1500, you’ll need to decide on its configuration. Select from the roomy crew cab or upgrade to the larger quad cab with room for six. You can also choose from either a 6-foot-4-inch long bed or a 5-foot-7-inch short bed to satisfy your needs at home or at the job site.
After picking your configuration, check out the six trims of the 2019 Ram 1500: Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited. Perfect for work, the Tradesman comes with scratch-resistant paint and 18-inch steel wheels. The Big Horn includes 18-inch alloy wheels and fog lamps, while the Lone Star is a variant of the Big Horn with unique badging and features but only available to consumers in Texas.
The Laramie trim boasts LED exterior lighting, while the rough-and-tumble Rebel sports all-terrain tires and an exclusive body kit. Rounding out the fleet, the Laramie Longhorn and the Limited add automatic high-beam headlamps and LED bed lighting.
Choose from either a monotone color or two-tone options to make your Ram 1500 stand out from the pack. Exterior paint colors include Delmonico Red, Flame Red, Patriot Blue, Blue Streak, Billet Silver, Diamond Black, Black Forest Green, and Ivory Tri-Coat.
Engine (Power)
The entry-level engine of the 2019 Ram 1500 is anything but ordinary, knocking out 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque courtesy of a 3.6-liter V-6. If this isn’t enough to satisfy your craving for performance, opt for the upper trims. Here you’ll find a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 that’s good for 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The 2019 Ram 1500 is a workhorse in every sense of the word, offering a towing capacity of 10,620 pounds and a max payload of 1,770 pounds. Surprisingly, this doesn’t seem to affect its efficiency. The 3.6-liter V-6 touts 24 mpg on the highway and 19 mpg in the city, while the V-8 boasts 21 mpg on the highway and 15 mpg in the city. That’s fuel economy anyone can get used to.
Interior
With an all-new interior filled with high-tech amenities and comfort features, you’re pampered every time you drive. A class-exclusive 12-inch touch screen, heated front seats, the Uconnect infotainment system, and leather upholstery are just a few of the most exciting specs.
Safety Features
With a driver-assist safety system joining the fleet for the first time ever, the Ram 1500 earns a four-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Standout features include blind spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning.
