Questions & Answers

Can I put a deposit down on a vehicle to Hold it? +

It is very common that several customers, dealing with multiple salespeople, are all looking at the same vehicle at the same time. To be fair to everyone involved, we do not hold vehicles. Regardless of where you are in the buying process, even if you have filled out a credit application, every vehicle is for sale until both of the following are completed: The vehicle is paid for in full (see acceptable forms of payment below), The paperwork is completed, thereby transferring ownership to the customer.

Do you offer airport pickup? +

Yes, we offer complimentary airport pickup from the following airports; Toledo, Detroit, Dayton, and Columbus. Please be sure to make prior arrangements.

Do you ship vehicles? +

We do not ship vehicles. However, we do have a list of shippers with positive reviews from our customers. Please note that shipping cost is the customer's responsibility, as is all liability related to shipping.

Can I get a CarFax history report on used vehicles? +

Yes. We provide you with full access to a complimentary Car-Fax history report on every used vehicle we offer for sale. Go to Drivefindlay.com, pick a vehicle and click on the CarFax link to that vehicle.

Do you include a warranty on your used vehicles? +

All of our used vehicles are sold As-Is from the dealership. However, many vehicles have the balance of the original factory warranty, and most vehicles have optional service contracts available to suit your particular set of circumstances.

What does As-Traded/As-Is mean? +

These are vehicles offered to the public as an alternative to wholesaling them due to age, miles, condition, or price range. We have not and will not inspect or service these vehicles in any way. We encourage you to look them over well or have a trusted advisor look them over well before buying as they have more risk than nicer, newer vehicles.

Can I use my Bank? +

You can use your bank or credit union if they are partnered with Findlay Chrysler and Findlay Chrysler executes all the lending documents. Otherwise, you may use one of Findlay Chrysler’s partnered lenders. We partner with an impressive suite of local, regional, and national lenders. We are sure to have a lender to meet your lending needs.

Do you accept E-Titles? +

No, we do not accept E-titles as they are not an official title. We need a physical title. If you have an E-Title, just go to your DMV to get a physical title.

What if I don’t have the title to my trade-In? +

If you do not have or can't find your trade-in title, please be sure to make prior arrangements, as each situation is different depending on what state your vehicle is titled in and whether or not you have a lien on your title.

Can I buy the vehicle remotely and pick it up or have it shipped at a later date? +

Yes, this is somewhat common, as many customers come from substantial distances. Please note that although we will allow you to leave the vehicle on our property for up to 15 days after purchase, we are not responsible or liable in any way for the vehicle. Please check with your insurance provider for coverage.

What if I buy a vehicle remotely and don't like it after seeing it? +

Once you pay for the vehicle and complete the paperwork, it is your vehicle. Before buying a vehicle sight unseen, please be sure you are comfortable taking that risk. If you have any doubts, we recommend having a third party inspector inspect the vehicle on your behalf.

Do you offer overnight test drives? +

Due to the sheer volume of leads on our vehicles, we do not offer overnight test drives. However, we do allow, with management approval, extended test drives during normal business hours.

What are internet specials? +

Every vehicle we offer for sale is what we believe to be the very best deal in the market from day one. We stock, recondition, and price every vehicle ultra-aggressively so it will sell fast. Even using our proven calculations, sometimes they don't sell fast enough. In those cases, we continually adjust our prices until one of 2 things happens:
1. The vehicle sells to a retail customer.
2. Our price drops below the current wholesale value.
When we are priced below the current wholesale value on a particular vehicle, rather than sell that vehicle to another dealer or auction house for up to $1000 more, for a limited time, we offer those vehicles to the retail public as Internet Specials. The price listed on these vehicles requires that you trade-in a vehicle (10 model years old or newer) or pay $1000 more. This is also true for dealers and wholesalers as well. You may buy these vehicles wholesale for $1000 more. All other vehicles are not available for wholesale.

Do you offer sight unseen guaranteed trade-in Values? +

Yes and no. Every guaranteed trade value that we are aware of is subject to an inspection. We have 3 of the most popular guaranteed sources, and we will be glad to check those for you. However, since they are guaranteed amounts without seeing or driving your vehicle, rarely are those numbers high enough for most of our customers. We believe live, expert appraisers are the only way to give customers an accurate, yet aggressive number that we can stand behind. The only downside to using live, expert appraisers is that they are only available during business hours. Do you include 2 sets of keys with every used vehicle? +

We include only the keys/key fobs that we get from the previous owners. Many only have one key.

What is a prior Canadian vehicle? +

A prior Canadian vehicle is a vehicle that was previously registered in Canada.
With our close proximity to the Canadian border, many used vehicles in this region are prior Canadian vehicles. Most vehicles today have digital speedometers that only require a simple push of a button to switch from kilometers to miles. With few exceptions, most prior Canadian vehicles are the exact same vehicles sold and registered in the U.S.A. as they are built in the same assembly plants.
Please note that some manufacturers do not honor some or all of the original warranty on prior Canadian vehicles now registered in the U.S.A. Please see a salesperson for clarification on specific vehicles.

What do I need to bring with me if I intend on taking home the new vehicle? +

Any person that will need to sign paperwork must be present to complete paperwork, you may not sign for your spouse or other relatives:
- If the new vehicle is in multiple names, both will need to sign.
- If your trade is in multiple names, both will need to sign.
- If you have a co-signer, they will need to sign.
Payment Information:
- You will need to pay for the vehicle in full before leaving with the vehicle. (See acceptable forms of payment above)
- Complete a wire transfer at least 1 business day in advance of the expected delivery as this always seems to take longer than expected.
- Bring a checkbook if planning on writing a check for the down payment.
- Bring your cash if paying some or all in cash.
- Bring the credit/debit card you plan to use.
- Bring your trade-in and the title to your trade-in.
- Bring your driver's license.
- Bring anything required by the lender: Proof of income, proof of residency, proof of identity, etc.

What are your accepted forms of payment? +

We Accept:
- US Currency (Cash)
- Electronic wire transfers to our account
- Major Credit/Debit cards up to $1000 (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, and Discover)
- Personal checks for your down payment if you are financing at one of our lending partners and the dealership is executing all the lender documents
- Trade-ins with a properly executed title
We do not accept:
- Bank checks, Money orders, or certified checks
- Bank letters of credit
- Bank draft checks
- 3rd party checks
- Outside Financing (Financing from any lender outside of the lenders partnered with the dealership. Ask for a current list of partnered lenders)
