Jeep Compass vs Nissan Rogue
In the SUV world, there are many great options available to get you through your daily tasks and adventures. No two SUVs do it better than the Jeep Compass and the Nissan Rogue. However, there are a few major differences that can impact your decision to buy one or the other.
What are they? That’s a question that is tough to answer, but Findlay Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) is here to help drivers in Findlay, Tiffin, Fremont, North Baltimore, Fostoria, Bowling Green, and Lima, OH.
Jeep Compass vs Nissan Rogue: Infotainment Technology
When behind the wheel, your drive can be enhanced with a little music or your favorite podcast. In both the Jeep Compass and the Nissan Rogue, you’ll be able to enjoy these features without taking your eyes off the road with their innovative infotainment systems.
Both vehicles feature large infotainment screens with Android Auto™ and wireless Bluetooth® capabilities. That’s where the similarities stop, though, and where the Jeep Compass rises above the Nissan Rogue. In the Jeep Compass, you’ll get standard Apple CarPlay® and a bigger infotainment screen. The 8-inch screen in the Rogue falls short of the available 8.4-inch screen offered in the Compass.
To get Apple CarPlay® in the Nissan, you’d need to upgrade to a higher trim level.
Jeep vs Nissan: Off-Road Capabilities
You’re a thrill seeker. You want to take your adventures to new heights and places you couldn’t go before. In the Jeep Compass and the Nissan Rogue, you’ll be able to have adventures on new terrains. Both vehicles offer 4×4 capabilities, but the 4×4 system in the Jeep is a bit more unique.
On the Trailhawk trim, the 4×4 system has a 20 to one crawl ratio and low range for Trail Rated® capability. The Jeep also offers a class-exclusive 4×4 Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System that has Auto, Snow, Sand, and Mud modes, as well as an available Rock mode. The Nissan offers an Off-Road mode that can handle dirt, sand, and gravel, as well as a Snow mode, but the vehicle can’t handle mud and different types of rocks.
Compass vs Rogue: Safety Features
Having peace of mind that your vehicle can protect you and help you avoid dangerous situations is a great feeling. The Jeep Compass and Nissan Rogue can quell any worry you have with amazing safety features.
Each vehicle offers a wide range of safety features, such as Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection, Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, and Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist. Parking technology with parking sonars also make it much easier to fit into tight spaces and see objects that may be impeding your path.
However, the cruise-control feature in the Jeep helps it stand above the Nissan because it offers Stop and Go technology. This can monitor the speed of your car and distance of other vehicles in front of you. The cruise control in the Nissan Rogue is more of a traditional type of cruise control that doesn’t offer the same technology.
Jeep Compass vs Nissan Rogue: Who Wins?
If you want an SUV with more infotainment options, better off-roading capabilities, and advanced safety features, Findlay CDJR believes that drivers in Findlay, Tiffin, Fremont, North Baltimore, Fostoria, Bowling Green, and Lima, OH, will prefer the Jeep Compass over the Nissan Rogue.
