2021 Ram 2500 Review
Ram 2500 Towing and Performance
The Ram 2500 standard engine is a 6.4-liter V8 that yields 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive is optional. The upgraded engine is a 6.7-liter turbo diesel 6-cylinder that mates to a 6-speed automatic transmission and outputs 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. The RAM 2500 offers a cushioned ride quality with plenty of passenger comfort. With the available air suspension, the ride gets even more comfortable and borders on that of a luxury car. Another highlight of having the air suspension is that you can level a cargo load to make hauling easier. Properly equipped, the Ram 2500 can tow up to 20,000 pounds. It also boasts up to 4,010 pounds of payload capacity. If you’re planning on off-roading, the Power Wagon offers off-road-specialized features to take on terrains like steep inclines, rock surfaces, and mud and ruts.
