The Ram Truck Division, also known as just Ram, has officially been around for ten years, although its history dates back well beyond that. When you're looking for an American pickup (assembled just north of us in Sterling Heights, Michigan), there's nothing like a Ram. It has become one of the most decorated trucks in recent years, and for a good reason. From excellent fuel economy to luxury interiors, there is a Ram or everyone. If you've been searching for "Ram dealership near me" in your search engine, you likely already know what separates Ram from the pack. But if not, here's what you need to know about Ram and our team here at Findlay CDJR.
The Ram brand history predates the creation of the Ram truck division. Dodge first started producing cars in 1914. Around the same time, the company started offering truck models based on the passenger car designs (essentially a two-door car cab with a flatbed behind it). Eventually, in the 1930s, Dodge amped up its truck production, building the Warren Truck Assembly plant outside of Detroit. This plant is still used over 80 years later as a major production site for Dodge.
By 1939, Dodge was making Job Rated pickups, in which it would allow buyers to customize their trucks based on specific needs. The Dodge Power Wagon came out after World War II, which was a civilian take on the company's military four-wheel drive pickup. The Power Wagon is still available as a trim option for the Ram 2500.
Dodge pickups officially became known as Dodge Ram trucks in 1981 as the company streamlined some of the trucks it offered. The lineup continued onward as Dodge Rams until 2010 when Chrysler created the stand-alone Ram division.
Currently, Ram produces the Ram 1500, the larger Ram 2500 and 3500, plus a select number of Ram vans. The vans continue along the line of the original Job Rated pickups, in which you can have the van customized and outfitted to better fit your specific needs as an owner.
The Ram lineup of trucks is truly built to serve. The trucks are designed for every kind of truck owner. Whether it is purely for work purposes or for weekend warriors, Ram trucks are several things, but every single model is powerful, with impressive specs, and is designed to serve you and your needs.
From the solid Pentastar V6 to the legendary Hemi and even EcoDiesel engines, you will have plenty of options to choose from when buying a Hemi. And this doesn't even include all the trims and special editions. This includes the brand new Built To Serve special edition Ram.
The Built To Serve edition has been designed to pay tribute to the men and women throughout the United States who join our country's military and, by doing so, dedicate their lives to helping keep every one of us safe.
The special package is available on the Big Horn trim and comes with a unique Black Diamond or Gator Green paint. There are several decals, plus 20-inch technical gray painted cast-aluminum wheels, sport seating, plus the Off-Road Group is included, which features a raised ride height, heavy-duty shock absorbers, and locking rear differentials.
It is our goal here at Findlay CDJR to give you the best vehicle buying experience around. We want to make sure you have access to the highest quality vehicles and amazing staff. We understand the car buying experience can be stressful. Too many dealerships add to the stress. We don't want to do that. We want to make it comfortable and easy. What you see is what you get. That is why we offer our Buy Smart Promise.
Our Buy Smart Promise is made up of four pillars. The first is you'll always see our best price upfront. This is where much of car buying stress comes in. You'll visit a dealership and see a price listed, but that might not be the price the dealership offers you. You then either accept the higher price, or you try to haggle it down. That isn't right, and we don't think you should be subjected to it. With our best price upfront rule, we will always have the actual price of the vehicle right there, so you will instantly know how much it costs.
The next pillar is we will offer cash for your current vehicle, even if you have no intent on buying from us. Our used department sells more than five times as many used vehicles than the average dealership here in Ohio. People from all over the state, and even in neighboring states come to visit us because of our large selection. So if you're interested in selling your current vehicle as you make room in your driveway for a new vehicle, we'll be happy to make you a cash offer. You're not obligated to take it, but we have no problem offering you cash on your vehicle no matter where you intend to buy your next car.
Third, we will have multiple financing options available for you within minutes. Our excellent staff of financial experts will sit down with you, go over your finances, and show you the different financing options you qualify for.
Lastly, our sales staff does not work on commission. This is one reason why other dealerships end up offering inflated prices. It's because the sales staff wants to bump up their commission. Our staff is all salary based, so they have no incentive to try and bump up the price.
