If you’re looking for family fun in Findlay, Ohio, look no further. Here are three great places you’re definitely going to want to take the family in the area.

Riverside Park
Riverside Park should be on your bucket list of places to visit this summer. The park is located at 231 McManness Avenue and is considered the crown jewel of parks along the Blanchard River Greenway. Owned by the city of Findlay, the park is managed by Hancock Parks District.

Riverside Park is a popular destination for walking, hiking, and picnicking. With over 7-acres of land, the park has plenty of space for the kids to run. Enjoy a leisurely hike along the Blanchard River Greenway Trail or wander down the stone trail around the reservoir. There are plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the view of the river, dam, and waterfall.

If you like the water, then pack a swimsuit and visit the beach area which accesses the river. There’s a boat launch as well for those who prefer “on the water” to “in the water.” Visit the Zonta Landing Boat Rentals where you can rent a canoe, kayak, or paddle boat and enjoy a day on the Old Mill Stream. Rentals are available weekends and holidays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

The park also hosts the Riverside Summer Concert Series. This year the series will put on 13 concerts Wednesdays throughout the summer. The series features a variety of musical talent the whole family will enjoy.

Mazza Museum
The University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum is a playground, library, and museum all under one roof. The museum is dedicated to promoting literacy through children’s picture book art. The museum’s collection includes over 12,000 works of art from children’s picture books.

The museum also hosts special events for children and adults, like Sunday Funday, Tales for Tots, workshops for learning and exploring, and so much more. Contact the museum for event schedules.

AMF Sportsman Lanes
If you happen to catch a rainy day over the summer, never fear. Bowling is a great indoor activity that everyone will enjoy. At AMF you can order a pizza and bowl a few frames with the family. Their bowling lanes are some of the hippest around, with black lights, soft lounge seats, and high-definition televisions playing movies, sports, and more.

After you’re done bowling you can visit the arcade. State of the art video games will blow your mind. For the old-school players, the arcade has plenty of classic video games too. Load up a game card with credit and have fun.

They also have a billiard room for the pool shark in the family. Professional length cloth tables let you play for fun or family bragging rights. After you’ve worked up a thirst, you can pop over to the sports bar for a drink and catch the game.

So the next time you are planning some family fun, check out one of these three fun places. The day will be something the whole family will enjoy.
